Introduction
The cosmetic and hygienic evaluation & control laboratory is responsible for controlling the quality of imported raw materials and cosmetics products, as well as carrying out tests for periodic samples such as Hair and Skincare products, Mouth and Dental care products, Detergents, Surface Cleanser, and Cellulosic products, PMS, complaints, etc.
The major activity of this lab is a technical training and specialized experts and auditors of cosmetics manufacturers to certify and issue GMP and GLP certificates for imported commodities.

Scope
  • Performing physicochemical tests on raw materials and cosmetic products
  • Compilation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and related instructions
  • Participating in research & development of advanced technologies
  • Launching new test methods to enhance the safety of cosmetic and hygiene products
  • Developing the national cosmetics standards in participation with the Iranian National Standards Organization
  • Determining the research priorities and implementation of research projects, reviewing the quality management and the development programs in companion with research centers and medical universities
  • Participating in specialized food and drug advisory committees to control and evaluate the cosmetic and hygienic products
  • Auditing the authorized laboratories to the control and evaluate national cosmetic and hygienic products
  • Auditing cosmetics manufacturer to certify and issue GMP and GLP certificates for imported commodities
  • Evaluating the performance of certified and authorized laboratories
  • Contributing to PMS programs for cosmetic and hygiene products
